Raising the moon

Here is a quick digital sketch of the 4 brothers raising the moon into their tree.
I think the forced perspective is working alright...but something looks funny and i cant quite tell what it is. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks,
Fabian

Keymaster St. Peter

So I wanted to Create a character for the moon project. St Peter is the guy who hears the noise from the underworld and sends his troops to investigate...
Since he Guards the gates of the heavens i wanted him to be big and monstrously intimidating. Here is the final drawing after a few rough sketches.

Quickstudy Monday

So heres some more Quickstudy sketches from earlier today! All these took 2 minutes. No Photoshop. I was getting too caught up in things with pencil so taday I used only copic marker and came up with some interesting lines. I think Ill use them more often because I can be more loose with them, which quick study should be.

Quick Study - Zoo and figure workshop

So I went to The zoo on Frisday and then went to a quick pose worshop today for a bit and I learned that Im a bit Rusty. Its been a month or two since i sat in a figure drawing workshop and really am excited for this one that i hoep to attend every monday at the Academy of Art. Well, a note on the color in the pictures though. I like to add the color outlines because it gives me a clear sillouhette and shows my pose a lot better. Contrast is life.

Moon Lit underworld

In this quick sketch I was trying to show that the brothers had all gotten buried inside the
trunk of the tree, each with their quarter of the moon. Thus the light of the moon got absorbed into the tree and down to the roots. When the sun came up over the land it gave the tree energy and lit up the underworld, which has never had any light until now... The people of the underworld celebrated for they now could see.
