Animating in the Nude

Here are Page 04 and 05 of the Valentines Sketch Book that Jes gave me.  I created this spread for the kickstarter video advertising my new book “Animating in the Nude”.  I was just thinking of ways to describe my book without giving a lot of information about it directly.  The next few pages of the sketch book will show more of these pages. Enjoy.

Buses

 San Francisco.  Life is grand. Life is beautiful.   

Here I  am now looking back at these drawings that I did a couple months ago.  I remember it all, the bus i took and where I was going, the people i saw, and what made me want to draw them.  Things in this life are temporary.  Nothing is permanent, so we must make the memories last forever in our minds.  When I draw these people on the fly like this it makes me remember not only what I was drawing or who I was looking at, but also it makes me remember the person I was when I did the drawings. If we all evolve everyday as we should, then it is nice to look back on how you have grown as a person.  Now looking back you may or may not see some big changes, but in my case and in my point in time, there is a lot going on.  I think that I have grown to be a better person in the last few months and it feels great to be able to have so many big things in the works.  I am very grateful for it all and ready to take on any challenges that may come my way.    Today, when I go out and draw I will remember this day and mark this moment in time for myself.  I won’t forget the things I have done, the places I have been, and most of all the people that have let me be me.  That includes all the people I have drawn to this day.

My wonderful girlfriend Jessica gave me an awesome sketch book for Valentines day.  I have been drawing in it since then and finally since I am almost done with it I will start posting some stuff.

Hi Guys!  

There is lots to talk about and lots to upload. Obviously upon looking there is a new blog.  I stopped updating this blog a while back but noticed that i just keep coming back to it.  I was using a tumblr as my blog.  Now I think I will use both.  I hope it is all up and working now.  If not, please let me know.

But check this out:  My goal here for the move was to simplify things for me.  When I was using blogger I had a site for different categories (animation, sketches, portfolio…etc. )  I wanted to leave this categorizing stuff alone.  When it really comes down to it, everything in my life is one constant stream. It doesn’t fit into little boxes. Everything that I do inspires something else. Whether it be my thoughts and words, photos I take, or drawings and animation, it all is just ME.  So here I want things to flow more. I want the freedom to do anything I want.  I will still tag things so that you can do an easy search (above) But I just want it all in one place.  I hope you understand.  

It will take me a while to get new drawings and animations scanned in and uploaded but I will start to post here more regularly.  Here is a sneak peak at a piece I have been working on for a friend.

Animating in the Nude - My latest book.

Hey guys. It's been a bit since the last update. I wanted to let you know about a project that has been taking most of my time. This has been a major step for me as an artist and has really made me look into myself and how I work.

B Ballin for life....

Ok I cant play basket ball if my life depended on it. Although in middle school I was a great bench warmer. So heres to all the people that can play. Im trying to do some new things with drawing and photoshop. Let me know if you like. But the drawing was done in about 5 minutes and coloring in about 5 as well. Damn I need to draw more... to busy animating. Ah well....Cheers!@
