Lost in the Zoo

So Jeff Jackson Put a challenge up Titled : Lost in the Zoo. Here is my Final piece. Its more of a little story but you get the point. I spent more time on the final sketch than the first two so the piece as a whole is not as strong as it could be....i just wanted to stop.
Well tell me what you think. Fabes!

Stanley Kubrick

Drawn in pencil then scanned in and painted in photoshop. Took me about an hour.

photoshop and pen

Im really trying to get more story into a single drawing. This means playing with actions or moments in time. This also gets me thinking more about facial expression and emotions in the character. I decided to put some color in these because i need to get better at painting and looking at color pallettes. Drop me a line.. and lemme know what you think.

And this man Playing the Sax was at the Powell Bart station in SF. He was smokin'! I had 4 minutes till my train arrived so decided to whip out the pencil and paper and draw him. Just glad I didnt miss the train.

Tears of Better...

Tears of better come to me when I see work that I really like and know that it is better than mine ... it happens waaaay to much. Do i Just shrug it off and let it be or do i tell my self Ill never be that good, or the too often heard "its good but thats not my style". Answer: non of the above, I tell myself that if I just keep drawing and using my imagination to tell stories through my work that one day ill be that good. And then maybe.. just MAYBE someone will feel those tears of Better when looking at my work. Well Till then... Heres some more stuff from my time in the city.

BARt and the academy of ART

SO i began my new Job today at the University of Art in San Francisco. Im really excited about it. So i take the Bart into the City and have about 45 minutes of drawing on the train. Heres a sample of what i came up with for my first day on the train. These are done with a ball point pen. About 5 -10 minutes each.
