Joe Weatherly Workshop!

So I set up a Joe Weatherly Workshop this weekend for myself and some students from the Academy of art in SF. First day we went to the Oakland zoo and the second we went to the SF zoo. It was a great 2 days and I learned a lot. Here are some drawings that i thought were alright to post. The first day we concentrated mainly on Gesture and a bit of construction. The second day we focused on construction and getting volumes and proportion correct.
Tell me what you think...

Ok, I know this is a really old post and late comment! But I just found out about this class. Your drawings are lush, do you recommend the class? Has it helped with your character design work?

Thanks!

Hey Gillian -
Joe's class is great. He is moving to new york within the coming weeks and will most likely be teaching there or online. I saw that you also ordered the Coleman DVD. Joe has one as well. It's a great one. Definitely worth the money. Cheers!
